Terms of Service

By creating an account, booking an appointment, publishing a business, or otherwise using Open 4 Business ("the service"), you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to act for that business. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the service.

Open 4 Business is a platform that lets service businesses publish their services, manage staff and calendars, and accept appointment bookings from customers. We are not a party to the agreement between a business and its customers — we provide the tooling that makes the booking possible.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to create an account.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

When you book an appointment through the service, you are entering into an arrangement directly with the business. Cancellations, refunds, and disputes about the service provided are handled between you and that business. We help you book, reschedule, and cancel, and we pass your booking details to the business so it can serve you.

Please give businesses accurate information and arrive on time. Repeated no-shows may lead a business to decline future bookings.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of your business profile, services, prices, staff, and availability.
• You are responsible for honoring the appointments customers book with you and for handling cancellations and refunds under your own policies.
• You must comply with all laws that apply to your business, including licensing, health, safety, anti-discrimination, and consumer-protection rules.
• You may not use the service to promote or provide anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful.
• We may remove or unpublish content or business listings that violate these terms.

Business owners and staff may connect a Google or Apple calendar, or link to their own scheduling tool. When you connect a calendar, you authorize us to read its busy times and to create, update, and remove events we create for bookings, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time. Availability from an external scheduling tool is not synced; businesses using one are responsible for keeping their posted availability accurate.

Visitors may opt in to hear news and offers from a business, and booking customers may choose to opt in at booking time. Opting in shares your name and email with that business only. You can ask a business to remove you from its list at any time.

Creating an account and listing a business is currently free. If we introduce paid plans or fees, we will tell you what they are and what they cover before charging anything. Service prices shown on booking pages are set by the businesses themselves.

You keep ownership of the content you submit — business descriptions, service details, photos, and reviews. You give us a limited license to display it on the service and to make the bookings it describes work. You must not upload content you do not have the rights to, or content that is unlawful, infringing, or offensive.

We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change, or discontinue features from time to time. We may also update these terms; significant changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of the services businesses offer, the accuracy of their listings, or the outcome of any appointment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (if any) or $100.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as this one and the liability section) will.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you another right.
